collars up

pve design illustration - for JMcLaughlin Fall Advertisement
"Collars up" ~ This fine gal is sporting a fun casual fall look - a shirt with the collars "popped' - a boyfriend vest in merino wool and a generous "Aken" tote constructed of wool felt billiard cloth. Grosgrain ribbon touches give a fun preppy accent to a gingham shirt. My illustration was in Quest Magazine for J.McLaughlin.
Do you wear your collars popped or not?

  1. I pop my blazer collar more than I do a blouse.
I love this illustration; all the colors go so well together. Very sophisticated in a casual sort of way. Well done again, Patricia!

  7. I always love your illustrations and today love the one for J. McLaughlin.

I love the look of the popped collars on others but always feel a bit over the top when I do it myself. I must work on popped collars and pashminas this season!

  10. My daughter's entire class popped their collars last week in honor of their teacher's birthday. I never actually have a collar to pop--can't bear collars!!

  12. Another fabulous illustration! I pop my collars on polo shirts and some jackets. This was so "in" back in the 80s when I was in high school and college.
