Look what I have picked from my garden, some green peppers, yellow squash and red cherry tomatoes. I fear that it is coming to an end and I will miss running outside to see what surprise awaits me. Next year, I plan to do a larger garden and give each plant more room. This year I planted things a bit too close and it was hard to get in to pick and to weed. I just love the colors, the freshness and knowing that it came from my garden.
The makings for a great pasta dish-what time is dinner? I'm free and will bring the wine and dessert! Happy day to you and your green thumb!
ReplyDeleteWhat beautiful veggies! Having a garden brings so much joy.
ReplyDeleteYou are one busy, multi-tasking lady! You just do everything so well Patricia. I am impressed with your veggies! Have a great weekend.
ReplyDeleteYummy! I was drooling over the fresh lima beans at the produce stand last evening...XXOO
ReplyDeleteThe fruits of your loving labor are right there. So is possibly a still-life illustration. :)
ReplyDeleteHappy weekend to you and your family!
Patricia a wonderful reward your garden gave you in return for all the care you gave to it. Did you share your photo with your dad?
ReplyDeleteMy tomato plants look beautiful but for some reason didn't produce any tomatoes. I did get a few cuccumbers I'll share next week.

Congratulations on your bounty!! I'm afraid I have too much shade to do a proper vegetable garden, but I do have some rosemary and it's always a thrill to run out and cut some for roast chicken!! I can imagine how fun it must be to gather an entire dinner!!!
ReplyDeleteHappy holiday weekend to you!
Pamela,
ReplyDeleteI just ran out and picked some more tomatoes and squash! If you were my neighbor, I would share my bounty.... in exchange for words!

Congrats nothing beat fresh from your own backyard. Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteOh Patricia, I just love that you delight in your garden and celebrate the miracle of growth from a seed in the soil. Since moving into our present house, we've been focusing so hard on the interior that we've really missed out on our yard and garden compared to other places we've lived. Your shiny summer veggies are so inspiring! I do hope that by next summer we are able to plant a garden too. Enjoy your summer bounty!
ReplyDeleteso happy for you pve! there is nothing better than peeking under the leaves to see if there is anything there and finding beautiful veggies to pick and prepare ... and i so agree that there is a definite element of sadness knowing that the time will come when the plants tire ... or dare i say ... mr. frost will come visiting ...
ReplyDeleteenjoy enjoy the fruits of your labor!
