There is always something appealing about a home that has an "easy does it" sort of look. This lovely and easy on the eyes home belongs to this fine and patriotic gentleman. I am always impressed with the ease and the elegance of the life that this blogger is dedicated to living. When he is not creating an elegant dinner for company, or popping champagne with a saber, he is somehow concocting lively and sporty ensembles for a sultry Summer day. When he posted his cool "Manse" - somehow I could hardly resist in an "easy does it" sort of illustration. I am working on making things easier on me. Somehow there is something altogether elegant about just giving into an agreeable and easy life.
How about you, what are you doing to give yourself an "easy does it" Élan?
Gorgeous illustration again! And thank you for the blog intro - lovely and elegant!
ReplyDeleteI've learned to just go with the flow - instead of worrying about accomplishing every item on my daily checklist, I just strive to complete at least a few of them and realize that taking a walk, preparing a special dinner, practicing my yoga or just reading is sometimes more important than cleaning out a closet or publishing another article.
What a beautiful painting.
ReplyDeleteI personally think bunting can make any house look spectacular.
I am enjoying your illustration of this lovely home.
ReplyDeleteI am constantly in a work of process when it comes to taking life as it comes to me-both sides. It's all for a reason, and I believe there are lessons in there to be learned.
I just found your blog, lovely illustrations.
ReplyDeleteWhat a gorgeous painting of Easy's beautiful home. I know it's something that he and Mrs. E. will treasure!
ReplyDeleteHope your 4th was brilliant.
And I agree with the Townhouse Lady... I found a piece of bunting at a thrift shop last summer and gave it to my friends whose balcony overlooks the harbour for this year's 4th.
How lovley ~ a simple state is something I hope for and have not yet found.
ReplyDeleteYour illustrations are amazing. I need to ask you about a personal project one day soon if you're not too busy.
Jo
And I think your illustration is "easy does it" perfection!

Great illustration! Working on an easy does it life! Not cry over spilled milk...so what kinda attitude. Life is too short to be perfect. Have a wonderful Monday!
ReplyDeleteI love a big white porch- so inviting!! I enjoy and appreciate the small and big things in life. Even when life throws a curve ball there is a hidden treasure just waiting to be discovered wtih my name on it. Enjoy! xoxo
ReplyDeleteI can see the corks being sabered on the balcony to the delight of the guests below. Lovingly drawn. I think it is important to have unplanned moments as well as feeling you are achieving some of your goals. Being a Libra, I need that balance. The freedom to stay in bed on Monday morning with a good book, or to be up a dawn pruning the garden. Have a terrific week.
ReplyDeleteMy goodness. It is a beaut Mrs. PvE. I hate to take the bunting down every year after the 4th. Now I'll have a wonderful reminder of just how much I love it.
ReplyDeleteThank you.
Chris
