secret recipe

Do you have a secret recipe or a particular penchant for creating, baking or making?
I designed these cards for a dear friend who loves to bake treats, not only for humans but for canines as well!  I thought that they would make a nice tag for a treat with space to write the on the back.
With the help of Heather over at Real Card Studio, she kindly printed these for me.  She keeps a fun blog too.  These were a birthday gift for my friend.  Inspiration can be the key ingredient for establishing an idea or a home based business.  What is your secret for inspiring others to create?

Yes that is so true, a little kindness can go a long way.
Finding what you love is key. Some do not find the secret recipe without the encouragement of others instilling confidence.

  4. Rachel,
I like to think it is the oil to the tin man, to get someone moving to hone in on their creativity. Recognizing the passion and desire is half the battle!

  6. I find kind words bring inspiration. When my children were younger I'd always repeat to myself "People become what you tell them they are." Being sure to encourage my children with my words seemed to inspire them to choose the good and to be creative and giving and thankful.

The cards are beautiful, and the bow is the cat's meow!

  7. Deidra,
So true, expecting good creates good.
Faith helps when the doubt sets in.

  8. Your cards are so pretty! Your question has given me much to think about...how do I inspire others to create?...humm??? Maybe it is encouraging them to not fear failure...that type of fear will cause my creative energy to come to a screeching halt.

  9. Tricia,
"Writing is easy: all you do is sit staring at a blank sheet of paper until the drops of blood form on your forehead."
    - Gene Fowler
I think the above quote is true for anyone who relates to Art & fear, you need a bit of fear with a huge dose of faith and cheering.
From what I see, I think you inspire others to elevate a pure and radiant light.

  15. Very cute. I have a secret recipe for brownies that I make. Maybe if I decide to no longer make them a secret I will need some stylish recipe cards.

  20. Very pretty cards and such a neat idea. My creative side gets a jump start every evening when my daughter shows me the 'work' she did at preschool. She is a creative child and she has inspired me to help her make cards and gifts at home together.

  22. I am the lucky recipient of these gorgeous cards from the equally gorgeous (and generous) PVE--no, not the dog, the human behind the dog :-)
I am truly blessed in so many ways to have Patricia in my life...I aspire to have *half* the serenity, style, mothering skills and selflessness that she has! Hopefully, some of that will rub off on me.

  23. That is a touching gift. Any cook would adore those and I appreciate how it fits the personality of the giftee.

I think encouraging the seed of goodness or creativity is just as important as the person growing it.
