On my Sunday shelf today, are all the ingredients to make this lovely frothy smoothie.
Mix
1 cup of fresh strawberries (cleaned and hulled)
1/2 banana (you can freeze bananas wrapped in plastic)
t tsp. honey
one cup water
1/2 cup of ice
(protein powder of choice)
fresh mint (if you like)
Mix in a blender and drink, pour in a pretty glass and sip. There is enough for two glasses. Treat yourself to one of these and have a smooth Sunday!

Hi Patricia,
I've been on a mission to fatten up my son who is home studying for a board exam and I make him pancakes and eggs every morning. Now I'm going to add a strawberry smoothie...he'll love it! Thanks for the idea.
Isabella and I came home from a nieces graduation party and made strawberry smoothies last night! Yummy
I was just thinking about smoothies this morning. I bought the protein powder long ago but haven't used it. I just bought fresh peaches, so I think I'll whip up a smoothie lunch. Have a fab day.

Sande-
I try to have a smoothie in place of pancakes!
I usually have this as a treat after a morning jog!
It helps me feel balanced.
Your son must be one lucky guy, did your gift wrapping skills rub off?

Karena,
Sounds like you and Isabella had a nice time!
Enjoy your sunday.

how funny, I was just sitting here thinking how wonderful a smoothie would be at this very moment. that one looks perfectly refreshing (although I hope you'll excuse me if I omit the protein powder, it sounds a bit too good for you to enjoy!).
Yummy! and good for you too! Probably good with rum too! Hey its night time here or cocktail hour! Have a great sunday!
Great stand alone recipe to use when you want a snack in between meals too!
Thanks for sharing.

Mmmm! I think I could live on smoothies. I must try this recipe!!
Happy weekend!
Sounds strawberry delicious!
Yum! Nothing beats a strawberry smoothie, and you might like to try almond meal instead of protein powder.
I love that this recipe has so much fruit. It looks so refreshing - I'm making one of these after my workout today!
Can't say no to a smoothie!
What a summer refresher!! I'll have to give it a try :) I like using frozen mango and peaches instead of ice- my old blender doesn't crush ice very well.
Is it hot there?
Yum! I love a nice smoothie! And this one sounds light, refeshing and one that I need to try! A good smoothie can take the place of a meal when trying to 'cut-back' a bit!
Thanks for that recipe! I start every day with a smoothie. Now I've got a new one to try!
I actually have all that too! I think I'll make ME one {or 2!}
Yes, it's finally strawberry season!
yum! i do believe I have all those ingredients in my kitchen too! smoothie time!!
Mmmm, with the type of weather we are having I may have to slip in somw white vermouth if that's OK! Just for poolside purposes!
So lovely! I better whip it up!
I'm off to make a smoothie - I even have these ingredients - though, banana not frozen. It looks wonderful!! Thank you...
this sounds right up my alley -especially the mint! Probablys kip the protein powder though...yumm - maybe some freshly made whipped cream on top too (too much? lol).
ooooohhh - this is SO yummy! I've got to break out the blender.

Wow - look at all these swell comments-
Actually, I add a vita-shake powder to my smoothie which is nutrient packed. It is from SunRider - a local yoga teacher sells it. I just could not think of what it was called when I posted this...

OOoooh... I've never put honey in my smoothie. Sounds perfect to sweeten things up a bit. Thanks for the tip!
Thanks for the recipe. I will for sure give it a try. This comes perfect in the menu planning. xoxo
Ha! So funny, I made strawberry smoothies yesterday too! Fresh Virginia berries and low fat yogurt. So good. Hope yours were yummy.
Thanks for sharing! I'm planning on trying some smoothies for my 2-year-old this week. This one will definitely be on the list!
Oh why, oh why didn't I see this before I polished off the strawberries for lunch???
Mmmmm....I do just about the same thing with almond milk (which I love) instead of the water. Rocks my socks!
Thanks you for sharing this recipe. My daughter and I have been having smoothies for breakfast a lot lately and I found the most convenient thing at the local market....individually wrapped packages of mixed fruits, frozen and ready to blend with yogurt or juice.
They are delicious, very easy, and very well priced (I did my research on this!) for the convenience. It seems like the easiest way to get in ones daily requirement of fruit...for us anyway.

YUM!
