There is a direct correlation between playing footsie which goes straight to the heart of one's soul. By now everybody is a friend of Toms Shoes, right? What could be better than buying a pair of shoes knowing that there are "tootsies", getting a pair on me.
(For each pair purchased, TOMS donates a pair to a child in need.) Toms began in 2006.
Just look how happy this child is with new striped shoes! :)
I have been known to fall head over heels for plaid! I have a white linen dress and a sweet head scarf, now these little lovelies would be perfect for a picnic or an "amble" into town.
Now we are talking, smooth suede, in a lovely tangerine color...how sweet with jeans and tees.
Do you know Tom, have you ever played footsie with these shoes? C'mon fess up and tell us what shoes are playing with you and your tootsies?
I love them, plaid especially. I am currently looking for more comfortable shoes. I have developed a foot issue walking on all the cobble stone here. Today I'm wearing my Privo's!
ReplyDeleteLove Tom's! Comfort and style all in one and a great cause.
ReplyDeleteI have had a little affair with ballet flats of late. Comfort is so important, a little support and if you find something you like with those elements- well...I'd walk a mile in your shoes!
I want to get a pair. Love the story, effort and the shoes. I tend to be a flip-flop girl-live in them.
ReplyDeleteWhere have I been? These are fabulous. I need the yellow and white pair: navy tape yarn sweater, white wide legs, rattan handbag and I am shopping in Nantucket on a breezy afternoon. Awesome.
ReplyDeleteGreat post, great shoe, wonderful idea....i guess ill go buy some shoes..

I've heard of these shoes - I would love to buy a pair! Privo's are also comfortable. But they don't have the added benefit of helping others like Tom's.
ReplyDeleteComfort is my name.
ReplyDeleteI love Tom's, keens and Tsonga (Tsonga shoes are hand-stitched by talented African craftswomen of the Tsonga tribe. Tsonga provides the community employment opportunity and sssists in educating and uplifting the community withoutreach programs).
Walking in comfort is great for the feet, helping someone is good for the "soul". xoxo
love 'em.
ReplyDeleteThe commercial that shows Tom giving away shoes gives me such joy, what a great post.
ReplyDeleteI've always liked those striped ones, the plaid are very pretty too!
ReplyDeleteOk - This is so strange. I had a dream last night that my husband wanted to buy a pair of these shoes. How funny is that!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful cause and beautiful shoes. Putting smiles all around. I want a pair!
ReplyDeletePatricia,
ReplyDeleteThis is so great. Thanks for telling me about Tom's Shoes! Honestly I didn't know about them...hmmmm...i always seem to be a little behind on this kind of thing but i'm pretty good at catching up! So I am headed over there next to check it out. Thanks also for posting the big smile on that beautiful child.
I love it when good people do well just because they are good people!
Always love visiting you.
Lisa
You are in my head today. I was just looking at them yesterday. I really want a gold glitter pair. Or a plain canvas one that I draw on.
ReplyDeleteOK I LOVE this idea. Style and comfort all for a great cause.
ReplyDeleteI love the commercial airing lately, it is so heartwarming, and yes I must get a pair for summer !
ReplyDeleteI love the whole concept behind Tom's... the style, the charity... all of it. It's so nice to buy a pair of shoes and know that that can make a difference!
ReplyDeleteI'm embarrassed to say that I haven't heard of Tom's before. What a great company - and what comfortable looking shoes. I wonder if I could pull of the yellow ones...they're speaking to me...
ReplyDeleteEvery time I think of Tom's and all the wonderful work he has done...,it makes me want to get involved and help those less fortunate. Be a better person.
ReplyDeleteIt all starts with one person, one thought..and in this case, one pair of shoes. Bravo!
Thanks for the post.
Hi Patricia,
ReplyDeleteI am making a quick pit stop!
Love that for each pair purchased, TOMS donates a pair to a child in need. TOMS ROCKS!
I am off to my next appointment!
xoxo M
Hi Patricia,
ReplyDeleteI've heard the story but not seen the shoes here in Canada. But I love them, especially the yellow and they look so comfortable. Will look for them on my next cross-border shopping. What an admirable man!
I love Tom's shoes - have been wanting the yellow ones for a while. What a great idea - and encouragement to buy even more :)
ReplyDeleteok wow ... i love tom and what he is doing ... time to buy some shoes, i'd say! the best fitting shoe i think i will ever own.

I love the madras plaid!! Especially if for a good cause.
ReplyDeleteI had heard of them before but not much. Ever since he started his tv campaign he has been all over!! I love his commericals and am looking into getting some just for the fact that they help others- love that idea.
ReplyDeleteI adore these shoes - my husband lives in them, so we have to replace every few months - which due to the cause, we don't mind at all! :)
ReplyDeletei did a report on Toms for my senior year catholic bsiness ethics course, and had to buy a pair..i like them a lot...but today I am in my Prada flats i scored at saks for 150, and have worn them to the bone! i wont stop until they can no longer be worn...maybe i should get them fixed?
ReplyDeleteI'm totally getting a pair of these this year. They sell them at my Whole Foods. I can't wait!
ReplyDeleteI love Toms shoes! I keep meaning to go down to the Nordstrom to try them on and see which ones I like best. Right now my pick is the canvas since they are neutral. (Sometimes I'm too practical for my own good.)
ReplyDeleteJess-
ReplyDeleteI love the natural linen TOMs too.

This is such a sweet post. These shoes are so great in any case, but who wouldn't want to be buying a child a pair of super cute shoes?
