Just could not help myself. I just love this "one night-stand" that belongs to Summer.
How would you like to be named after a warm and sunny season? If you want to fall in love, feel like a camp counselor or be inspired to drum up a list of some happy things - then she is your go to gal. She sent me this photo of one of her favorite things and I love the metal bowl on top with those pretty pears, looks like it was just pulled out of the fridge. (My fridge died on Mother's day!)
Give a shout out to Summer today where she loves to play show and tell -
right here. Trust me, you will love what she shows and tells all about.
Give this gal a little praise or a little Summer love!
pve wow she is a cute gal and I love her attitude very fresh and inspiring for sure. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeletefrau,
ReplyDeletesometimes you can't teach an old dog new tricks, but treats help to inspire and make us realize that little things add up to good big things!

First, you had me at the night stand. I have a penchant for old, painted furniture. Summer seems to be wise beyond her years and genuinely enjoys her role as wife and homemaker- how wonderful that is. I'm imagining you waiting by the door for the ice man to arrive with your daily ice!
ReplyDeleteSo pretty.
ReplyDeleteI just love the fact that your fridge died on Mother's Day. How clever that it decided to make sure you were taken to lunch and dinner that day. I have a question for you. I sent you an email through your site last week, but I'm guessing it went to spam. jae@seaandjae.com

lol! i love the title - you are so clever with words. Thanks for the intro to Summer!
ReplyDeleteShe is a beauty her curved legs and all. Her perfect shade of blue would brighten any corner. I like old pieces of furniture here and there throughout the house to mix the past with today. Enjoy your day! xoxo
ReplyDeletepatricia, you are the best! thank you, thank you. you are oh so sweet + kind. your words just planted a big smile on my face. i'm sure it's going to last all day. wishing you the happiest of days, summer
ReplyDeleteps. so sorry to hear about your faulty fridge.. that is one of my worst nightmares. hoping for a quick fix for you!
summer-
ReplyDeletewell, a new fridge is on the way - end of the week.
until then, i am a colonial dame!
at least I can make coffee and bake and play show and tell.

ReplyDeleteLove the stand. Must go and say hi to Summer.
ReplyDeleteLove this nightstand. It looks like my Nana's dressing table that I am about to liven up to fit in my house. Thank you for the inspiration!
ReplyDeleteBesos!
love. that is all.
ReplyDeleteoh what a darling stand. summer is fabulous and her writing, superb.
ReplyDeletehappy to find pve through summer. am off to browse a bit!
Love the one-night stand...HA! :-) I have a lot of one night-stands...furniture, that is...in my basement waiting for some inspiring makeovers.
ReplyDeleteI went to college with a Sunny, and she was so...Sunnny! Hard to be a downer with a name like that.
Laura,
ReplyDeleteI knew a lady named "Happy" and she really wore it well, always a swell smile and some cheery print.
Makes me want to rename my kids, "Lucky, Clover, and Wish" --how is the quilt coming along?
pve
Happy! That's fabulous.
ReplyDeleteThe quilt will apparently be made in one, two-hour sitting tomorrow night (!!!). Too bad my name isn't KnowsHowToSew. ;-)
patricia, in answer to your question about my name.. when my mom was carrying my sister & i, my parents had some friends whose twins were named summer & stacy. dad stole my name from them, and mom picked out haley for my other half. i guess they weren't crazy about matching first letters!
ReplyDeleteanyway, no big special hidden meaning to my name- dad just liked the sound of it. i'm forever grateful to him. it's rather fun having a seasonal name.
thanks again for the sweet words about me today!
You are just on double entendre fire!
ReplyDeleteVery sweet blog - thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteLove this image... that nightstand is gorgeous (that color is fabulous). I think I need to head over and check out her blog.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful!
ReplyDeleteLove your blog.
I forgot how much I love this table. It is perfect and I have been looking for a similar little side table since seeing it ( in my very limited spare time)
