Film, "Pay it forward" Movie Poster
It is fab friday and I have a favor to ask each of you. I would like each of you to "pay it forward" today, do one good deed and expect nothing in return. This past week, I had several opportunities to pay it forward and I took them as a sign to do so.
Now - more than ever is the perfect opportunity to pay it forward right where you live.
Reaching out to others begins today and if you do it from the start, you will develop a habit of helping regardless of profits and losses. Be the person you wish, dream and create by doing random acts of favor, of kindness. It will change the way you live.
What way are you planning to pay it forward?
Patricia this is so true about pay it forward especially giving from the heart. It gives double blessings the person receiving it makes their day and it makes us feel good for brightening someone's day. Some times a simple smile will brighten another's day.
ReplyDeleteI try to make this part of my daily life. I have been blessed by many in my life. To show my appreciation of my blessings is to pass onto someone else.
I'm not sure how I will pay it forward today when I go out, but I will let you know.
In the meantime have a golden day! xoxo
Great idea. I will try and find something. Thanks good friend. I'll surely smile.
ReplyDeleteI definately enjoy giving and feel somewhat awkward on the receiving end. I am off to do errands and will come up with a 'pay-it-forward'- it always feels good. I have had many blessings in my life and would like to think I can help others in some way. Thank you for a very thoughtful post.
ReplyDeleteThe art of giving!
ReplyDeleteIt should realy become a subject they teach in schools. Here in The Netherlands their are elementary school that give lesson in being happy to their students.
Great remninder, Patricia! So true...not sure yet just how I will pay it forward, but I will be on the lookout for opportunities! Have a wonderful weekend.
ReplyDeleteLovely to hear from you and yes, Anne is a fabulous girl, can always tell even in blog land. What a wonderful post today...it is the times and it is reminding us all to "pay it forward" every day if we can. By the way, happy belated 50th to your prince!
ReplyDeleteSo true!!
ReplyDeleteThe universe has a way of working things out this way.
Hi Patricia. What a lovely post. Right now we can all use a little compassion. I often look around me and marvel at how far humanity has evolved. With everything moving so fast right now, (I am fast approaching 50 and time seems to be getting away from me) it makes me yearn for the days of my childhood when things were less complicated and people seemed to care more about their neighbor. Today, I will take your words with me and find opportunity. Thank you and have a lovely weekend.
ReplyDeleteOooo! What a fun assignment! I'm in! I won't toot my own horn about how I tackle it, but I'll think back on some ways that others have "paid it forward" to me, and share that instead.
ReplyDeleteI LOVE THIS!
ReplyDeleteHere are some "PIF" ideas:
Literally PAY for the person in line behind you at the drive-thru. Say you are at the coffee shop-just ask the clerk to put their coffee on your tab.
It's really the little things. Thank you, PVE, for the reminder. You are so good at this!
Thanks for the reminder. I've been meaning to send a donation to the "bird woman" who took in an injured bird we found in our yard. Going to send her something today.
ReplyDeleteNice to connect with another local blogger!
A friend of mine helped me in the past when I was not feeling well...today and tomorrow I am going to choose for her and with her new rugs,a new sofa, wallpaper and paint colour for her living room.
ReplyDeleteIt will feel great!
Great idea, my younger sister recently decieded that she no longer wanted to be a mom or wife. She has chosen a life of addiction over her family. This morning I took her three children while her husband, a local fireman was doing the homor guard for a retired fireman. We went shopping with my other sis! Two hours in Marshalls & Super Target, whew! Well it was my 16, my 11, my nephew 11, nephew 10 & niece 6.
ReplyDeleteSomething to pay forward....for sure!

Before I even saw this post, I offered to take my senior citizen neighbor to her Doctor's appointment. It's approx. 30 mins. away, and I know she gets nervous driving on the highways. She was so very pleased and relieved not to have to go by herself.
ReplyDeleteP.S. Stop by my blog if you get a chance. I think you will like today's post!
Still need to think of my pay it forward action, but this also makes me remember to rent that movie on Netflix next week, thanks!
ReplyDeleteLove it.... I'll be thinking of what to do!

Thank you Patricia for the lovely post. I have done as Granny Smith suggested on a few occasions and that is pay for the car behind me at Starbucks! I made the flower arrangement (on my post a few days ago) for a friend of mine that was not expecting it, I love doing things like this, it brings me joy. It is harder to be on the receiving end of someone else's gift however.
ReplyDeleteBlessings...
I'm a day late but totally on board! I'll start with the hubby since I've been less than pleasant so far this fine day.

One of my favorite movies of all time! yes, I think it should be shown in schools social studies. I will donate more of my art this year to charitable causes, and just do small things, like telling the worn out woman behind the checkout counter that her lipstick looks so pretty, or you like her hairstyle; can just make her day!
ReplyDeletei sooo believe in this and practice it every chance i get.. it takes so little to be nice an people appreciate it more than we can ever imagine... i love this post...thank you for sharing... hope you had a lovely weekend...
