Do you have an easy chair? A chair to come home to and to "take-it-easy" at the end of the day.
Is there a spot in your home or a place you love to sit a spell and gather your thoughts. Hope you will find the time in your day to take a seat and a load off your feet. Does your day allow for time to sit or do you run around chasing your tail? (like me!)

My husband and I joke that someday we'll know we've "made" it when he can get his Pottery Barn leather recliner club chair. He's been eying it forever. But currently at the moment we don't have an easy chair :)
Bryn-
Knowing you - you will find an easy chair one day and then make it your (husband's) very own!
thanks again for making my blog look so smart.

first of all, i have to tell you how much i love your new layout... it makes me so happy...and my sofa is the ultimate... hand made in the usa and upholstered using french vintage white linen sheets...
I have a deep, wide red chair that I can curl up in like a cat. That's where I head if I am fortunate enough to squirrel away an hour or two to myself. Edward occasionally joins me there when I'm reading.
I'm a runner. So sad. I need an easy chair. Let's go shopping!
Somehow I always end up in one of my kitchen chairs. Not that they are comfortable, but the kitchen is where I gather my thoughts while doing something for the family. Huh...good question!...I don't consider myself as a runner...but lately I have no time to even read one page. Btw...I have orderd the book you've suggested (The ultimate gift). It will be send to Holland - where I will stay for the next few days) and hopefully I will find some time to read. So thx again!!
I have a black cherry color wing back chair that I have claimed for my "relaxation chair". It is situated near the back sliding glass doors, so I can see the backyard greenery and listen to the birds - all very relaxing.
I use to be a runner for many years. Then I stopped the craziness that was pulling me in too many directions all the time. I've re-adjusted my lifestyle so I am not in a tizzy state of mind anymore. I live a more deliberate and less hectic lifestyle (but if I had children, I would be running.
chasing tail all day, finally collapsing on couch by 8:30pm. Need to remember to feel blessed to be so busy :-)
Go-Go-Go... But I do like to stop for a while, early in the afternoon and "settle" a bit. This may lead to a little shut-eye for 15 minutes, then I'm back at it. Often my computer chair is my easy chair! Checking in on my dear bloggie friends.
I chase my tail until it's dark and then my easy chair is the corner of my much loved and comfy couch.
We bought a swivel rocker when I was pregnant and I spent many hours rocking my baby in it. Now that she is a toddler - with zero interest in rocking unless she is sick - it has become my easy chair. I moved it out to the living room to enjoy when she goes to sleep at night! LOVE the new website!!
Kelsey-
I did have a rocker, but alas, mine are too big to rock, but I do have a hammock which will come in handy today, perhaps after lunch, I think I feel a nap coming on. :)
Glad you like the new look.

Hmm I do have a nice comfy chair in my office, but right now it's full of stuff due to all the chaos this week.
Craziness. Thanks for your great gift suggestion yesterday. I still have no clue what to do. According to my MIL she wants an angel on a necklace so I'm off in search of that today!
yes, i do, my couch is my easy chair. love your illustration here by theway.
Yes, I have a great comfy pair of chairs, always room for someone to sit in the one beside me and chat for a bit. It does face a huge LCD that I love, love as I get to relax and watch movies at the end of the day. My favorite spot. have a great week Patricia.
Wow, I wish my living room looked like that pictures. My easy chair is the couch, when I'm lying on it watching HGTV. :)
I'm on the go all day and usually into the night. BUT Monday is my day off. And I mean OFF. Yesterday I spent most of the rainy Monday in my big overstuffed chair with ottoman, under a handmade quilt, using binoculars to watch a falcon/hawk/miniature eagle (a bird expert I am not) perched in my backyard all afternoon.
Great work Patricia; I love the way it feathers out. So casual and beautiful.
My favorite chair was my husband's grandfather's chair which I received when we first married. I upholstered it in a red plaid which I still love. It's a great place to sit and read a book. But what I love best is the memory of "Bumpa" (a mere 5'5" at 77) curling up and doing a flip out of the chair and landing on his feet like a circus act. I had just met him and he was trying to impress me. He did. I'm 60 now and the idea of my doing that trick is laughable. I figure I have 17 years to get ready for it.
home before dark,
sounds like my kind of ageless spirited person.
doing flips and cartwheels keeps one young!

My green love seat under the window that gets the morning sun. Love it. And love the new design!
I like the new lay out! Looks great

I do have a leather recliner, but I give that "throne" to the BF, I take the couch where I can sprawl out and relax. Love this illustration!
I have a big comfy chair in the corner of my bedroom next to the big window so I can see the kids playing outside. When my grandmother died, her little pedestal, marble-top, side-table became mine - so I sit there with my laptop on the table - for a few hours each day. The rest of my day is spent running around like everyone!
After I get home from work, and checking emails it's time to put my feet up on the den loveseat. Look at the mail, a magazine and inspiration for new art. (Maybe even paint!)
Great colors in this! Very nice.
Hmmm... if you asked me this question a couple of years ago I would say my carseat was my chair. I was all over the place. Now I still keep myself busy, but closer to home. As the weather gets warmer I'm going to say the outside patio chair is my easy chair. Enjoy! xoxo
Lovely, inspiring image...
The past couple of weeks I've done nothing but run...but typically rely on an hour or so to sit and write and read...
Made my way over here via Letter Cottage. I have twins and I chase THEM all day long. But I do have an easy chair. And it's momma's! I attempt to drink my coffee in it some mornings.

I love your new look!! I obviously haven't been over here in a few weeks!!
Love this illustration - very chic! I've got a favorite chair w/an ottoman that I love to sprawl out on.
Ha! I just gave the man of the shore house a hard time over an "easy chair" he was FIXATED on...it's this glider thingie; hard to explain (but better than the Archie Bunkey recliner he had eyes for) so it'll have to make a blog appearance soon. It arrived right before we left for vacation so I finally got to "take it for a spin"...NICE! :-)
It's my first trip back to you from vacation...I'm LOVING the new design!
