Welcome to my Sunday shelf. I have a shelf in my home which holds books, framed photos and a variety of objects. This is a small landscape that I painted in acrylic several years ago on louan mahagony panel. It has been on my shelf and never framed.
I look forward to visiting this island again, and painting a small collection for my shelf. Carrying these thin panels and just a paint box of acrylics is easy and carefree. Try it on your next trip.
What is on your Sunday shelf?
Oh... where is that special place? It looks so tranquil.
ReplyDeleteOn my Sunday shelf~ I have a beautiful picture of my Mom - she watches over things for me.
Debra, Block Island...have you ever been?

I really need to get out photos from some of my trips for inspiration. This painting is so lush, it does make you want to go and visit.
ReplyDeleteI think being a painter is up there with being a really great writer. A talent I would love to have but I wasn't given all the creative talents just the interior design one :) Love that painting. I like the idea of a Sunday Shelf, I don't have enough shelving in my home to have one though.
