complimentary

pve design illustration, mirror mirror -which sweater is the fairest of all?
Why, just the other day, I went for my scheduled salon appointment for a hair appointment here.  To my surprise, my visit was "complimentary" as I really just needed a "snip" here and there.  In a matter a minutes, I was out the door on my way with my to - do -list in hand.  I thought to myself how compliments really do go far.

While I realize this is not an every day happening, but a "shear" treat during the "bah humbug" holiday errands.  Think about it and surprise someone with a complimentary "compliment"
or a small token of appreciation.  How often are you paid a compliment and or something complimentary?  When was the last time?

  2. Love your play on words and thank you for the suggestion as I tend to forget how far "the little things" go.

  3. It seems so much easier to give out compliments than to accept them sometimes.

  8. I believe it can be so easy to make someone feel good. Whether giving a smile, a caring compliment. Many of my blooger friends have looked at my art and made very approving comments. What a great feeling that is!

  9. What a lovely surprise! I like giving compliments to strangers, usually in the grocery store line, if they have something on that I particularly admire.

  10. Lucky you! I can't even remember when the last time was that I was either given something complimentary! I do get lovely compliments on the comments left on my blog, which makes this whole blogging thing all the more rewarding. As my mom said, if you're having a bad day just read the comments left on your blog. :-)

  17. what a wonderful story! thanks for sharing :) I love to compliment people on things that others would never notice- I'm trying to keep my eye on the details.
I am also so thankful to have a very "complimentary" husband- he is always faithful in the area of giving praise.
A few years ago I started working on just saying "thank you" when given a compliment, instead of trying to refuse it or trying to pay it back instantly- it has been tough, but it is really wonderful when you can master that.
