Time permitting, I love to ship my art finished in a good matte, one that finishes off the work and protects it too. Framing may also be added on my end or yours. The above illustration was sent with a generous five inch matte, a double cut, gray and white.
The client added the black matte inside and the simple chic frame. Ready to hang in your very own gallery!
I appreciate a good matte too!!! Beautiful!
ReplyDeletegorgeous! I love the wide matte.
ReplyDeleteGood mattes make all the difference.
ReplyDeleteDefinitely. For me, a generously-sized matte makes it just right.
ReplyDeleteI think matting is an art in and of itself. It can make a work of art look cheap and small or grand and beautiful (like this one you show here!). I love french mattes or ones that have a little extra personalization and interest to them. Or the mattes with paper fronting that are a contrasting color beneath where you see it where you cut through. Beautiful!
ReplyDeleteI love the wide matte and layer look. Oh... Patricia your art looks beautiful! A very lucky wall is singing it's heart out today.
ReplyDeleteI have a huge matte around a photo of my dad's hands. The photo hangs on our dinning room wall.
Looks divine! Just perfect. Read your style diagnosis over at SG..... exactly how I might picture your style! So fun to see everyone's results!
ReplyDeleteI love the matting on that frame. It really makes your artwork pop!

ReplyDeleteA nice matte just elevates any artwork into a whole new strata.

ReplyDeleteThe matte really makes your piece pop! Love this piece, is it just a black and white? Love it?
ReplyDeleteMuseum matting and framing is so important. It can absolutely complete the work of art & make it stand out beautifully.
ReplyDeleteoh i love that! that gray looks so good with the illustration! i cannot wait for you to do a pic of me!
ReplyDeletethis is gorgeous - I love huge mats - also I love them when they are asymetrically placed in the mat. this really makes me want to have you paint my house and frame it just like this. omg - email me!!!
ReplyDeleteVery beautiful with the black edge, a bit more contemporary and makes your drawing pop.
