We live an hour away from the city and firecrackers were going off. I can only imagine the excitement in Hyde Park and Grant Park. My friend's son lives in Hyde Park. I will have to ask him about the excitment.

Love this! I bought a new flag this weekend so I could proudly fly the red, white and blue instead of the mauve, ivory and teal my flag faded to after a summer in the sun. :-) I am also wearing pearls today, in homage to the new first lady.
I can't stop crying I am so very happy... there is hope ... and we have a President now who thinks he really thinks. He is smart! How wonderful... And your artwork is great!
