The cat's meow or purr in this case, is all about being able to enjoy the moment. If you have a pet, you will know how an animal can stop time. All they want is love and a little attention.
This is one of the first of a "sketch" in the works, asking for attention. Purr.

Tonight as I was curled up by the fire, Edward jumped up next to me, placed his big head on my leg and went to sleep. I could have sat like that for ages. They stop time, indeed, and this is a beautiful illustration of that.
Patricia it is perfect!
Today we took a ride to Wisconsin by Lake Michigan where I grew up to snap pictures of Kelly (Lakeland) for her anual photo shoot! She just knows when it time for her Christmas cards!
Our pets give us so much more then we give them. When you think about it their love is so unconditional and expect so little from us.
The person you are doing this for is will be one verrrry happy with the love you capture between them.
Wow Patricia. This is lovely. You've really captured a special moment here.
Exactly!
I can't wait to go home for Thanksgiving, where a loyal yellow lab awaits a huge hug from me. I am so happy that she hasn't forgotten me since I've married and moved away!
That is a lovely sketch. I don't have any cats, but I do have two loveable dogs. They always put a smile on my face. This morning I actually woke up to Moo (my oldest pup) curled up next to me in bed.
So cute.
Makes me want to just sit back and hold my kitty Lili for awhile. Beautiful.
Oh! I'm so happy to see this illustration on your blog!!! I picked a very special day to check in - so happy I did (as usual!). You have a special way of capturing precious moments. I look forward to relaxing and enjoying more precious moments with family this Thanksgiving - so thankful.
Emily-
I was hoping that you would check in today!
Happiest of Thanksgivings to you and yours.

Picture perfect.
I have such cat envy... *sigh*.
My little Himalayan cat just adores to be petted . Miss Belle certainly runs the home!
I'm loving the title of this one. Your use of line is wonderful.
what a great sketch... it says it all
Patricia, you've translated the picture beautifully!! Emily is my sister and made sure I saw today's post. It's just wonderful... Such a random, happy moment captured, which makes it so special.
I love the linear quality in this one, Patricia.
