the way to my heart

Bake me a cake and you have won my heart over- here.
There is a saying that the "way to the heart is via the stomach."  Heart-of-light, shed some new light, one of appreciation for good food, pure ingredients and creating an artful  life.
Be it with thrift store finds or simply giving a wall a fresh coat of paint in a scrumptious color.
Everyone is creative and inspires me in their own unique way.
She chronicles her daily life in her own photo vignettes.
Her photos have a way of focusing on simple things that really matter in order to live an artful life.
Please welcome Rachel to the blogging scene.  I know that she will inspire you to bake a cake, or even make something simple like a pillow or even a toolkit and then photograph it in a way that will bring new light to your heart.
My kinda gal, with ingenue and smarts.

  2. mary-laure,
perhaps the two of you should have a "bake-off"
or a "photo-contest!" I would feel very sorry for the judges, as it would be "tres difficile" to pick a winner.

  3. Welcome Rachel!

I love being in the "heart of the home" I have been known to have 20+ people over with a menu never been tried! I always figure there will be a pizza or chinese restaurant opened somewhere! So... I can't wait to visit Rachel's blog. She sounds like my kind of gal!

Patricia do you have the link to Rachel's blog? When I clicked on the one listed I don't think it is the right one. If it is forgive me I haven't had my cup of joe yet!

    Hugs...

just yesterday, my daughter and I made home-made oatmeal-craisin cookies. your comment brings back fond memories of making cookies with my mother.
cookies with milk are simple and bring so much goodness to all, especially during the holidays.

  21. Patricia,
For some reason I'm in the mood to bake a carrot cake. Recently I had some out at a local restaurant that was just decadent, with so much cream cheese filling/frosting and nuts....it was the best ever!
