Princess Grace has touched the lives of many artists yesterday as well as today.
Over the years, I have been fortunate to be included in many wonderful events as my sister-in-law is on the board of trustees for the Foundation. My husband was raised in Monaco and has been friends with the Royal Family and remained in contact while raising his own family.
The luncheon was held at Daniel in New York City to honor the donors and supporters of this foundation prior to the evenings gala. A pve design commissioned work of art has been donated to support this event, hence I was included in the lunch fit for a Princess. The menu was a royal treat! I had the pleasure of being seated next to some incredible women and to hear the stories of how they are working to support this foundation in memory of a loved one.
During this time of financial uncertainty, one area that always seems to suffer is the arts and it is so important that we realize this and continue to recognize and give to a cause that will support the wishes and dreams of those that have gone before in style and grace.

How lucky you are to have been included. I loved her in the movies, too. "Rear Window and "To Catch a Thief" are two of my faves. She seemed like a princess even then.
I've been loving all your fall art, btw.
hello gorgeous-
I agree, Princess Grace was destined to be a Princess.
btw-thanks- for your loving my artwork!

What a wonderful menu -yummy! I'm sure your drawing went for top dollar! Since I was a little kid I was obsessed with Grace Kelly: I've read every biography on her and seen every movie she's been in numerous times. High Society is in my top 5 favorite movies and I even find 'the Swan' enjoyable (I'm probably one of the lone few!).
That menu looks so enticing. Yummmmm!
Grace Kelly is gorgeous, it sounds like you had a wonderful time!
Such style and Grace! She was so classic/ set such an example, I too loved those movies. She always had the best ensembles and accessories.
BEAUTIFUL!!! I loved Princess Grace movies and her style.
What a special luncheon to attend and take part in to help others in the arts. The menu looked mmm...
How fun to be connected so close to royalty. Do you get back to Monaco often? This is one place on my list to visit someday.
Thanks for sharing!
Stefan,
I too adore "The Swan" and of course Princess Grace will always live in my heart along with many others.
The menu was fabulous along with the champagne!
My inner "princess" for a day was such a memorable occasion and yes, my artwork was bid on and went to a special person.

What a awesome event! Thanks for sharing. It almost makes me feel as if I were invited too!
what a lovely luncheon (and delicious menu!). indeed tough times seem to call for neglecting the arts. if only everyone felt the nourishment and dialog found solely in creating. princess grace was and still is a beautiful inspiration.
love love your holiday 'newsy' wrap idea too!
Amen, sistah! Nothing like supporting the arts AND getting a faboo meal in, every once in awhile ;-)
Ahhh...Grace one of my all time favorites -- how wonderful that you were able to be a part of such a wonderful cause. My children go to a school called The Charter School for the Arts. They are learning the imporatnce of art in all it's forms.
What a wonderful foundation(one I'd never heard of before)and post.

The arts are always the first to go and should be supported. Love Princess Grace.
How amazing to be able to attend this luncheon.
I have always thought Princess Grace was one of the loveliest actresses ever. Thanks for sharing!
You lucky thing! That menu looks fabulous. How lovely.
The top photo is oozing with class. She was lovely.
There will never be another Grace Kelly. She defined beauty and "grace" and sheer loveliness!
I was so interested in reading about your connection to her and the royal family of Monaco through your husband! That is really neat!
Love all your work......you are so talented!
Wow - you are so lucky! And your art work included too! You remind me of Grace Kelly yourself, imo.
Any pictures?
I'm certain your artwork was lovely. How wonderful to be included in such an event. I hope you enjoyed it.
Sounds like you had a wonderful time :)
and thank you for the lovely comment.
Monaco, how lovely. I think it must be one of the cleanest, most beautifully landscaped cities around. I'm rather fond of the cathedral. Princess Grace did leave a legacy with this foundation. I do hope that the evening was profitable for such a worthy cause. We'd love to see the work you donated. Any pictures?
Sounds fun! I love reading about you!
I haven't heard from you lately . . . just checking in!
granny smith,
the work will be a commissioned work and I will share it once I work with the client and complete what they would like. I think it will be a home illustration.
thanks,
pve
How exciting. You to possess this sense of grace.
I have a feeling you fit right in with all those other amazing women. How exciting!

How lucky, that is so exciting! And that menu!! My mouth is watering just thinking about it.
Oh...this must have been a blast! And supporting the arts...so very important, mais oui.
I heart Princess Grace. I remember I was with my mom when we found out she died (way before "the internets" and 24/7 new channels) and we were stunned and clamoring for info (these days I find myself clamoring for *less* info...).
What an EXTRAORDINARY experience!
And that menu...
