creative zen

photo from creatives outfitter
Part of the creative process requires taking notes and creating lists in an organized process.
In my quest for organizing, I came across this site that offers some tools to outfit your creative thought for running a home or business with ease.  Cool sheets or note pads to write it down. Paper provides a spot to return to the well of ideas.

As you create your lists, pare down each project to what is essential to make the most of your time and effort.  Tools, such as this along with manilla file folders help to get organized.
The thing that is blocking you or getting in your way will suddenly be apparent and make more space to create your project.  Starting this process for any task will provide balance and time.
How do you make lists to find your time for creative zen?  Creatives Outfitter has great tools if you need help.

  1. I've always loved the Moleskins -mostly the elastic band (but I'll admit to the snob appeal too!)

  2. creatives outfitter sells those too.
love the moleskins with the band and also the graph paper ones are less intimidating for those just starting to sketch.
I always gift those to art students.

  3. Oh Gee, Patricia. Something to work towards for me. I am always writing thoughts and lists on the back of movie tickets, napkins, business cards...you name it. That squeaky clean desk in the photo is quite the opposite of mine! Sigh.

  4. Wow! That is a beautifully designed notebook. I might even make liberal use of it. As often as I write things down in my notebooks, I never seem to refer to them again. I just brain dump and move on. The one above might end that practice.

  7. I love that notebook! I'm not quite as sophisticated. I keep a steno pad in my bag at all times and I pull it out to scribble random notes to myself.

  9. I carry around a little moleskin with a band around it. Also try to use it as a journal to record a few things about each day.

    Love this notebook!

  11. I carry around a bound notebook (bound so I can't rip any pages out if it) which I'd say is about 90% helpful. I need to start to add things like, "Pay cell phone bull TODAY!" in there. I'm kind of curious to check out Creative Outfitter. I tried Base Camp (online) but I kept forgetting to check it. :-)
