pink postcards

Pink sand reminds me to think happy thoughts and to remember a special "Mother-Daughter" trip to Bermuda.  At the time I was expecting my third child and my Mom was going to be a Grandmother for the 11th time.   While we were there, I painted these scenes on the beach.
I always travel with paper and my paints to make my own postcards.

Pink is a color that stands for beauty, grace and goodness.  Try wearing a little pink or painting something pink and see how it brings hope to your life.  Surround yourself with pink.  Think of all the things your own that are pink and feel your spirits lifted!

  1. These are charming! I think on the whole pink doesn't get much respect -left as it is to little girls. It's a great color, very flattering to skin tones! more pink; THINK PINK!

  4. How wonderful that you make your own travel postcards. You have lucky friends to receive such treasures. These are beautiful.

I do have the prettiest pink summer linen scarf that I've been wanting to wear for weeks, but it's been too hot and humid to attempt it. Maybe after the rain departs!

  8. Oh we need more pink in the world! I once read an obituary that described the deceased as "charming, gracious and lovely." She must have been a pink person. I have told so many people I hope to be described the same so I guess I need to wear more pink! Thank you for sharing.

  11. I adore the Bermuda paintings! What little treasures. I collect art from the local people whenever I travel to the Caribbean. I have not been to Bermuda..and now want to go check out the pink sand beaches! The closest I got to a "pink" beach was Shell Beach in St. Bart's..no barefoot beach combers there!! OUCH!

  12. There is something about Palm Trees that never gets old. I could look at them all day- they just say "relax and come lay in a hammock" to me!
