I apologize for all this "food" posting, but when in Brussels, I cannot help but post about my favorite chocolate - "Cote d'Or" which melts in your mouth. This chocolate is sold in many shops as well as "Cote d'Or" shops here in Belgium. I also love the Belgian Waffles, or "Gaufrettes" which are a treat.
We visited the "Atomium" where my mother-in-law was one of the foremost and gorgeous hostesses greeting visitors at the 1958 World's Fair. My children were very proud to see their grandmother's photo as a Hostess. I will post more about that once we are back in the USA.
Leaving for Strasbourg today
Safe travels, Patricia!
ReplyDeleteI hope we get to see a pic of your mother in law also. ;)
The chocolate sounds de-lish. Yum. It's been a long while since I've had chocolate.
ReplyDeleteWow, what a great story about your Mother-in-law. [P.S. Love that label, I could see a medium sized painting of it in a room].
ReplyDeleteBelgiums have the best food! My favorite restaurant here in DC is a belgium bistro that I blogged about a few months past - I'm sure you're eating fabulously!
ReplyDeleteDo post a photo of your mother-in-law if you can when you return. How neat.
ReplyDeleteSafe travels!

ReplyDeleteWow, PAtricia, your family is off doing exciting things! How wonderful for you all! Please enjoy!

ReplyDeleteoh, if you're posting about chocolate you must be having a wonderful time. i love the design on the wrapper as well. great font!~ (i am living vicariously as belgian chocolate and frittes are two of my favorite foods.)
ReplyDeleteEveryone loves Belgian chocolate, don't they?
ReplyDeleteDid you bring enough chocolate for everyone? You mean we have to share this one?
ReplyDeleteI hope you will post a pic of your MIL as the lovely hostess. I love vintage photos like that.
Also, a while back you recommended a book to me, Almost French by Sarah Turnbull. I just finished it and I loved it! Thank you!
Sounds like you are having a GRAND time... can't wait to see your posts when you return... I'm sure they will be filled with fabulous things!
ReplyDeleteWhen do you return... oh you don't want to talk about that... Enjoy!
