lady-in-waiting

Please allow me to introduce you to my lady-in-waiting.  She was waiting here for us when we bought our home.  The previous owners, he was a Doctor and she was an Artist.  They built our home and she sculpted this stone lady.  We placed her here and every day she waits for me. Look closely, inside her folded arm is a birdbath and often she allows the birds to find repose. She has been thoughtful, attentive and waiting to be repaired as she has weathered the seasons. Each morning, she reminds me to keep calm and then come evening, she bids me adieu.
Does your garden have a lady-in-waiting?

Oh, she's gorgeous! The only "lady-in-waiting" in my garden is the garden itself!! Hopefully, hopefully it will be done this side of Christmas! Haven't commented in ages but I check in on you each day via my bloglines!! So slack of me not to say hi!!

Very pretty! I have always wanted an old stone bird bath for our yard.

So charming. How nice she came with the place. What a wonderful choice the former owners made.

She is lovely and I think she needs no repairs. The only lady-in-waiting in my "garden" (which is really a tiny wrought-iron balcony off my apartment) is the one pot that still has no flowers because I didn't buy enough (I usually buy too many!).

I just relaxed while reading your description. You really should teach and artist relaxation class. Wonderful!

I love her! She is part of your home, which is so sweet.

We have no lady in waiting, but a very happy Buddha. We're not Buddhist, but you can't help but smile at him when you see him. A gift from my cousin.

Thank-you to each of you for your wonderful comments. I can always count on each of you to be moved to say something and I feel your energy which propels my wings to draw, to paint, to create and to appreciate life. Each of you are ladies and gentleman.
