For those of you who love fashion and interiors, this is the perfect book to add to your collection. British publisher
Laurence King, book by Marnie Fogg. This book is on my wish list as I love couture touches in interiors. Recently, I have noticed a return to old world details in clothing that nod to the art of dressmaking and this is not just limited to fashion, it is flowing into the home. Details are as simple as contrast piping on a pillow, tiny bows, and tassels and soon your home will have the couture touch. Vintage resale stores often can provide the spark to create something with a fabulous find.
I shall be posting on some fabulous finds and creative ways that you may add a touch of couture to your interior and you will soon feel elevated to the top of the class.
Hi, Patricia! What a wonderful sounding book. I can't wait to add it to my collection as well. Thanks! ;)
ReplyDeleteHi Patricia, me again! :) I have a question....I've just tried finding this book at both Amazon and Barnes & Noble and it doesn't come up at either place. A book with the same title comes up but it has a totally different cover...is it the same book??? Thanks for your help.

Love this post... I will see if I can get the book through my home decor book club. I LOVE COUTURE LOOK IN THE HOME. Most of my drapery throughout my home looks like ballgowns... if I were in need of a gown... I could probably take one down and wear it...LOL!
ReplyDeleteThis looks like a fun book to cozy up to.
ReplyDeletewow, lovely book. and look at her shoes! fantastic. i could certainly use some couture tips around our digs. do they have any shots with toys strewn around the floor?! alas...
ReplyDeleteI like the sounds of this book! I can't wait to see your finds post - good inspiration coming - I can feel it!
ReplyDeleteOh I will have to add this to my list. I am not sure I have any room on my crowded shelves for more design books...actually, this looks like a book I could make room for. I am so excited to see your future posts!
