One can spend so much time actually doing that one does not take the time to slow down and enjoy the process.
My sister took a painting class and her teacher would always say in her broken english, "More look, no paint." I encourage each of you to slow down and look. If you look closely at this brownstone, the owner and her dog are taking it easy and enjoying the day. When was the last time, you stopped to slow down. Allow yourself time to take a minute and to honor life in slow motion. You will be surprised at what you see.
Patricia-
ReplyDeleteYou are so good at reminding others what is important and how to slow down and appreciate life.
That is so true, Patricia. How often do we go to a place that we've been mayny times before and notice something we've never seen? I'm always amazed when I stop at a light and look around at the sights I usually speed by. There is beauty everywhere.
ReplyDeleteWonderful reminder!
ReplyDeleteI honestly can't wait for the weather to get better to go out and try my hand at drawing some of the beautiful houses here in the Litchfield hills!
Thank you...sometimes we need reminding to "stop and smell the roses".
ReplyDeleteThanks for the gentle reminder!
ReplyDeleteIt is so important to do, and so often people don't take the time to do simple things like BREATHE and blame it on technology or the 'current' pace of life. I honestly don't think that things have changed much other than our expectations! It's time to change that and enjoy life a bit more!
ReplyDeleteAhhh...don't we think we'll do this each day and then find by day's end we did not? Thanks for the reminder (and for visiting my blog!)
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful piece and sentiment! Love it.
