With two girls close in age and a mother who could talk on the phone for HOURS, we frustrated many a people with the busy signal! When call waiting or second phone lines became available, my parents wanted nothing to do with it. So we just kept frustrating people with that annoying "beep, beep, beep." I hadn't stopped to think that you never hear that sound anymore.

Happy Sunday!
LinseyBravehearted Beauty {formerly LLH Designs}https://www.blogger.com/profile/04065147598634454504noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3757093408303875257.post-40786452260552012522012-01-18T15:18:59.295-05:002012-01-18T15:18:59.295-05:00I have no problem ignoring a ringing phone or bein...I have no problem ignoring a ringing phone or being w/o one.

Do you remember party lines?....julielorusso@gmail.comhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17113811747928792568noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3757093408303875257.post-32111566714537217992012-01-18T13:14:50.116-05:002012-01-18T13:14:50.116-05:00Well put! Today, they are off to their own independent lives but sometimes, with calls of work and marketing, the phone is still detached for an hour or so. Internet is just ignored at times too.
When we had a problem with internet provider last week, I did accomplish more reading and writing!:)Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17254228974989688426noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3757093408303875257.post-53632995003244347572012-01-18T12:03:23.292-05:002012-01-18T12:03:23.292-05:00Hi Patricia! We're snowed in, definitely no question of getting to work and I'm trying to decide just how much to connect. In some ways it's good that I'll be able to keep up and keep things moving, but in other ways I wish I could lose my iPhone, stay off the net work, and just be in this beautiful white world! It seems rude to me to think the person on the phone would be more important then the one in front of me. On the other hand there has been moments when I have had to answer due to work or emergencies. I remember how easy it was in those days to disconnect. I usually never hear my cell phone ring and then it takes me a while to check my phone and get back to people (those that know me well, know my technology flaws!) I wish people did that every day, sometimes we need to spend more time off the hook and being "unavailable" not only for our own sanity, but everyone around us!
Toodles,
Twirling Clare
twirlingclare.blogspot.comClare C.
