ageless happiness

Did you ever stop to think that you are responsible for your own happiness?
Today is the day to find your own happiness.
There are no age restrictions on finding a happy place in one's life.
Perhaps you might find it meandering off in nature or in a garden.
It could begin with a blank sheet of paper.
It is never too late to find happiness.
Mrs. Delany began her life's work at the age of 72 creating stunning flower mosaics.
Are you a late bloomer?
Have you found your happiness with creating something?

very pretty! Yes, I'm a late bloomer and yes, finding things all the time to create and bring me happiness.

I believe in blooming where you are planted. Creating happiness even in imperfect surroundings and situations. Thanks for introducing us to Mrs. Delany. How inspiring! XO

oh my gosh, I have always said that you make your own happiness! I tell my teens not to look for someone to make you happy, you have to do that for yourself!

I so agree!!! I, like, Jeanne, agree that you have to bloom where you're planted. Making the most of where you are and finding positive ways to spend your time.

I also agree...it's never too late!

I don't think I'm a late bloomer—more like a sporadic bloomer. And I absolutely believe I am responsible for my own happiness. I also treasure words of wisdom from a former mentor who was 20 years older: happiness is fleeting—treasure those moments of contented joy.

Very true indeed, I have tried (and still am) to send the msg across to my kids over the years, hopefully I have succeeded! xo

i so agree patricia, we are indeed responsible.

and i keep chasing the dream of learning to draw. after my third private (long and intense) workshop with a renown asian teacher, he slapped me on the side of the head saying "You shame me!" maybe when i am 72 :-)

I'm a pre middle-aged bloomer. But I've certainly found my happiness. Life is too short not to seek happiness NOW. I wish I had found it sooner but never too late that's for sure.
